I WAS NOT EVEN BORN WHEN YOU LAUGHED AT EVERYTHING

Then I drenched you in repeating

intelligence. Your head your head your
head was a delirious search engine
looking for the funniest way to say
I want to be something I am not
which is not a very funny thing
though it is honest and a magnificent
means of feeling unlocked from your own
candied skin. And that's how it happened
that you were a campfire and I
was your mother and neither of us
intended to leave these wireless woods.
